Edmonton Competitive Junior Ultimate (ECJU) is dedicated to organizing competitive junior ultimate in Edmonton in partnership with the Alberta Cannons, EUPA, and the Alberta Flatball Club. The program is focused on developing youth players for competitive ultimate, promoting the Spirit of the Game, and providing opportunities to compete in national tournaments.
Through its collaborations with the Alberta Cannons, EUPA, and the Alberta Flatball Club, ECJU offers experienced coaching, a strong emphasis on the Spirit of the Game, world-class training, youth-centered physical development, and team-building opportunities. This environment is designed to foster the growth and development of young players in the sport of competitive ultimate.
Looking ahead to 2025, as part of the Alberta Cannons Club, ECJU’s goal is to send multiple teams to the Canadian Ultimate Championships, which will be held in Edmonton, Alberta, from August 10-14, 2025.
Starting in May, once the fields open, ECJU will offer youth competitive (touring) team practices twice a week, games in EUPA's Summer 7v7 Adult League and through EUPA's U19 Youth Programming, practices with adult competitive teams (tentatively on Mondays), and sessions with youth players from other Alberta cities, such as Calgary. In addition to the National Championships in August, there are two required tournaments in July, with four optional tournaments available.

Players wishing to compete at nationals are expected to commit fully to the program, attend practices regularly, demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and train, and develop the skills and fitness levels necessary to compete at a national level.
We are always welcoming new players. For more information, please contact edmontonjuniorsultimate@gmail.com
